Nashville Jr. Predators Approved for Tier 1

NASHVILLE JR. PREDATORS APPROVED FOR TIER 1

The Nashville Jr. Predators are excited to announce their Tier 1 status for the 2017-2018 season. This would not have been possible without the help of the Nashville Predators and all of our great families. This was a not an easy road and we appreciate everyone’s patience as the process unfolded. Hopefully we have communicated the necessary information with families as we know you all have been anxiously awaiting the announcement.

The goals and focus of the organization will continue to be geared towards helping our Nashville players improve as hockey players and young men. This move will allow us to provide the best possible training, schedules, and programing for our U8-U18 players. This will provide an opportunity for our players to get consistent team training and philosophies from Mite to Midget hockey. We believe that quality team practice time is vital to a player’s long term development. The U8, U9, and U10 teams will remain Tier 2 teams as there is no Tier 1 hockey at those ages. For our Tier 1 eligible teams this will provide a great opportunity for those players to be put in opportunities to progress as players and get the exposure necessary to move on. The exposure part of hockey really does not start for players until they are 14 years of age. The Nashville Jr. Predators as a Tier 2 organization have helped multiple players move onto Junior and College level. This move will allow our older players an opportunity to stay in Nashville and continue working on achieving their goals while providing more high level competition and opportunities for all of our players.

We understand it takes years to develop trust of our members and from the players. The past few seasons we have made a lot of positive changes and we will continue to make changes that we feel are in the best interest of our kids and families in the organization. We will always put the kids first and feel that this move is in the best interest of all our members.
