NASHVILLE JR PREDATORS

Billet Program

Billet Program

Each year, the Nashville Jr. Predators program has out of area players who want to come and play for one our teams. The billet or host family concept is considered by many as a hockey tradition.  It involves host families opening their homes and families to out of area players, and provides an opportunity for these young men to pursue the next step in their developing hockey careers.  These talented players, who show the potential to play at an elite level, seek the opportunity to play for an organization that can help them to achieve their goals.  The host family has a great opportunity to build a life-long relationship and help a young person to realize their dreams.

If you have interest in learning more about this great opportunity, you can submit an inquiry to our billet coordinator by filling out the form.

This was my first time being away from my home and from my family for an extended period, so I was a little nervous at first to move in with my billet family. It ended up working out perfectly though because the family I stayed with was amazing. They treated me is if I were one of their own kids. They did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable and to make me feel at home. Overall, it was a great experience and I feel like it also helped me grow some character as well.

Our billet experience with you was such a positive and rewarding endeavor. Taking into account how nervous we were sending our 17-year-old son 1000 miles away to play hockey, leaving a great private high school, and searching for a family of strangers for him to live with for the season, you were a calming and supportive force that made it such a great transition. We couldn’t be happier.

Our son is thriving in his billet home. He has been welcomed into their family fold with genuinely inclusive actions and dialogue. We are so thankful to the NJP organization and to the generosity of our billet family.

Johnny our billet coordinator worked hard to find my son the perfect billet family!  He has adjusted nicely and already feels like part of their family. I love how TPH and the COE and the Jr. Predators all work together seamlessly to ensure the best experience for all of the kids and keep the parents constantly in the loop. We are so thrilled that we made the decision to join this wonderful organization!

Moving away at the age of 16 to a new city was intimidating at first. Living in a new city with new surroundings was an adjustment on its own but having 2 great billet families made that adjustment as easy as it can be. Both families I lived with brought me in with open arms, really making sure I was comfortable and a part of the family which I am very grateful for. The relationships I’ve made with my billet families will forever have a long-lasting impact on my life and I cannot thank them enough for the time I spent with them.
